The car was originally delivered to the White House in late 1962 and became one of the most photographed cars in presidential history. On November 22, 1963, it was used by President Kennedy and his wife Jacqueline as they rode through Dallas motorcade. As they approached Dealey Plaza, shots were fired and President Kennedy was fatally wounded. The car then sped to Parkland Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
